Welcome to the ODART Project

The Overdose Detection and Responder Alert Technologies (ODART) Project is a partnership between the University of Stirling and University St Andrews and is supported by the Digital Inclusion group of the Drugs Research Network for Scotland (DRNS) .

In October 2020, the DRNS secured funding from the Scottish Government’s Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Programme and ODART was launched in February 2021. Our aim is to transform preventative care for those most at risk of drug-related death by delivering on four main workstreams:

For each workstream the literature and technology options currently available are being scoped and reviewed for potential application in Scotland.  It is anticipated this will lead to grant applications to develop technologies further or to test the application of these in Scotland.
